Richard Ruby is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Accounting and Economics. He received his Law Degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago and was in private practice in Chicago for several years prior to moving to Michigan. He relocated in Harbor Country, New Buffalo, in 1989 and has practiced continuously there ever since, concentrating increasingly in litigation (including family law) and bankruptcy. Richard is also a tenured faculty Professor at Roosevelt University in Chicago. His teaching and research there help keep him abreast of current developments in the law. He is a licensed member of the bar in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Florida (presently inactive in Florida) and a member of the Federal Bar in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
